2024 WRAPPED ON A LEGENDARY YEAR
Well it’s that time of year where we start to slow down and prepare for our various holidays in many ways.
Last year I started to record what my year looked like by rattling off goals and personal achievements, very much like Spotify does with your musical tastes. I always like to see what I listen to the most each year as I have favorite artists that are always making my lineup but I always have new bands and musicians that become new favorites and make the list too. This year Stephen Stanley’s “Whatever It Takes” was my #1 Song /// it’s a banger as the kids would say! Skillet was my #1 band and they had a stellar year of new music which makes sense., but I had only heard of Stephen this year because he was creating many various versions of his song on stories that I kept watching them and was captivated by the beat, lyrics, and passion. Seriously you should have a listen it’s amazing! He truly used marketing tactics in a great way that made his song go very viral in certain circles.
I hope as 2024 draws to a close you’re looking to 2025 with great expectations. Something I realized this year was that regardless of what I’m doing God has good plans for me. He has good plans for you too. Sometimes life gets really heavy and it’s hard to see the good when the struggles are so many. That’s where I was and this year really felt like a year that God helped pull me out of the rut I’d let myself keep trudging along in. I pray that anyone reading these achievements wouldn’t think I’m trying to sell you on myself or what I can’t do for you.
I’d gladly love to talk design any day and plan out a new brand for you next year, but honestly my mission and purpose is more than that and these achievements are nothing to the walk with Jesus I’ve had over the past 20 plus years. Life with Him is so much better without and being a Christ follower remains the proudest thing I am. Truly that’s what I’m most happiest to talk to anyone about and maybe 2025 is the year your walk with Jesus begins/restarts/gets real. ;) Blessings friends!
So without further ado here’s my 2024 Wrapped:
Finished over 162 projects at full-time work and new side hustle, but those are only the official Asana ones because lets be real there were hundreds of emails requests
Gained 21 certifications related to design & marketing
Led a lunchtime Men's small group - which gained a couple new guys this year
Learned how to make proper Lotus and Lattes at One Mission Cafe
Rode a total of 226+ miles on my bike and can’t wait to up that number in 2025
Stopped a LinkedIn Newsletter, Stopped a Podcast, but in July focused on an idea for freelancing my design skills and that turned into LEGENDERRY™
Created this website thelegenderry.com /// originally was going to be legenderry.net, but had better idea
Expanded it to include my portfolio, brand packages, this blog “Wait For It”, for 2025 merch options even!
Gained a brand new client in All About Pieces! Designed a brand that encompassed what it’s owner was envisioning and helped with marketing and design projects and even store signage!
Started doing contract work for LandGuys, LLC! Man they’re fun to work with!
Joined the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce in November!
Prepared a lot of fun ideas for social media growth with legendary giveaways! (Lookout for them in January!)
Read about 6-7 books - some about marketing and some for pleasure
Celebrated 2nd and 4th birthdays of kiddos
Celebrated 8 year wedding anniversary
Turned 31 years old
God is so good!
